Why Become a Member?
Located on Wharf #2 overlooking the Monterey Harbor, the Monterey Peninsula Yacht Club offers members many opportunities to establish new friendships through cruising, racing or social events. With just over 400 members, you will find that the membership is a diverse mix of professionals, businesspersons, military personnel, students and retirees with a universal connection, a passion for yachting!
Our Clubhouse, open for your use, 24-hours per day and seven days a week, offers a vital gathering place during the week or on weekends with an oceanfront bar and a full-service dining room, serving Thursday lunch and Friday night dinners throughout the year. The Wednesday night dinners vary with the season from BBQ buffets to formal candlelight dinners. During the year, we host a variety of social events; wine maker dinners and celebrations!
If you enjoy racing, we have active racing fleets for one-design, PHRF, junior sailing and remote control boats.
If you enjoy cruising, you will find an active group of cruisers that meet monthly.
Membership in our club also provides you with reciprocal privileges to many other yacht clubs offering you the opportunity to feel at home where ever you travels take you.
To become a member you will need to download and complete an MPYC Membership Application form, get two current member sponsors to sign it and return it to the membership chairperson. Prospective Junior members must also have an adult complete, sign and return a Junior Membership Consent form.
